If you forget your password or your payroll account gets locked after too many failed login attempts, don’t worry—you can reset your password and regain access in just a few steps.
Step 1: Use the “Forgot Password” Option
- Go to the payroll login page.
- Click Forgot Password? under the login fields.
- Enter the email address you registered with.
- Check your inbox for a password reset email (it may take a few minutes).
Step 2: Reset Your Password
- Open the email and click the reset link.
- Create a new password:
- Use at least 8 characters.
- Include a mix of uppercase, lowercase, and numbers.
- Avoid using the same password you used before.
- Confirm your new password and log back in.
Step 3: If Your Account Is Locked
- Accounts may lock automatically after multiple failed login attempts.
- If resetting your password doesn’t unlock the account:
- Contact Background Support at support@everyset.com.
- Provide your full name and the email you use to log in.
- Background Support will verify your identity and unlock your account.
Step 4: Prevent Future Lockouts
- Always keep your login information secure.
- Save the payroll login page as a bookmark.
- If you change your email or contact info, update it in your profile right away.
