Overview
If you haven’t received your payment when expected, don’t worry—most delays are caused by small issues with forms, bank details, or standard payroll timelines. Here’s how to figure out what’s going on and get it resolved quickly.
Step 1: Check the Payroll Timeline
- Payments are typically issued within 7–14 business days after your work date.
- For SAG-AFTRA union jobs, payroll must follow union rules (often within 12 business days).
- For non-union jobs, timing may vary but still follows state labor laws.
👉 If you’re still within this window, your payment may still be processing. - For agency and commercial projects - Payments can take up to 30 days
Step 2: Review Your Paperwork
- Make sure your Direct Deposit Form and Tax Forms (I9 and W4) were submitted correctly.
- Check that your:
- Name matches your legal ID.
- SSN or Tax ID is accurate.
- Bank routing and account numbers are correct.
👉 Incomplete or incorrect forms are the #1 cause of payroll delays.
Step 3: Check Your Pay Stub or Voucher
- Log in to your payroll account and look for your pay stub.
- Confirm that:
- The voucher was submitted by production.
- Hours, rate, and adjustments (overtime, meal penalties, mileage) are correct.
- Payment method is listed as Direct Deposit or Mailed Check.
Step 4: Contact Payroll Support
If the expected timeline has passed and payment still hasn’t arrived:
- Email support@everyset.com with:
- Your full legal name
- Date(s) you worked
- Voucher number(s) (if available)
- Payment method selected (Direct Deposit or Check)
Payroll Support will investigate and confirm next steps.
Step 5: Special Situations
- Mailed Checks
- Allow extra days for postal delivery.
- If lost, Payroll can stop payment and reissue a replacement.
- Returned Direct Deposits
- If your bank rejected the payment (due to a closed/incorrect account), funds will return to Payroll.
- Update your bank info and Payroll will reissue payment.
Tips & Reminders
- Always use Direct Deposit for faster and more secure payments.
- Double-check your forms before your first day on set.
- Update your info right away if you move or switch banks.
