The information you should use when filing an unemployment (UI) claim depends on which company processed your payroll for the production.
Your Everyset voucher/timecard can help you determine which instructions apply to you.
In this article
- How to tell who processed your payroll
- If your payroll was processed by Everyset Payroll
- If your payroll was processed by another payroll company
How do I know who processed my payroll?
Open your voucher/timecard and look at the top-left corner. The payroll company that processed your payment will be listed there.
- If it says Everyset Payroll, follow the Everyset Payroll instructions below.
- If another payroll company is listed, such as CAPS, GreenSlate, Revolution, or another provider, follow the Other Payroll Company instructions below.
Note: Everyset may provide the digital voucher/timecard even when another company processes your payroll. This is why it's important to check the payroll company listed on your voucher.
My voucher was paid by Everyset Payroll
If Everyset Payroll processed your payment, use the Employer of Record listed on your voucher when filing your unemployment claim.
For Everyset Payroll projects, this will be Everyset / ES Background.
Where can I find this information?
- Open your voucher/timecard.
- Look at the bottom-right corner.
- Find the section labeled EMPLOYER OF RECORD.
- Use the information shown there when completing your unemployment claim.
This section includes the:
- Employer of Record
- FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number)
- Employer address
Do not use the Production Company as your employer. The Production Company may be listed directly below the Employer of Record, but it is separate from the employer information you should use for your unemployment claim.

My voucher was paid by another payroll company
Some productions use Everyset for digital vouchers/timecards while payroll is processed by another company, such as CAPS, GreenSlate, Revolution, or another payroll provider.
If another payroll company is listed in the top-left corner of your voucher, do not use Everyset as your employer for your unemployment claim.
Instead, use the applicable employer/payroll information provided by the company that processed your payroll.
Depending on the payroll provider, you may need information such as:
- Employer or Employer of Record
- FEIN
- Employer address
The location and format of this information may vary by payroll company. Please refer to your voucher, pay statement, or other payroll documents from the company that processed your payment.

Still not sure which information to use?
Start by checking the top-left corner of your voucher/timecard to identify the company that processed your payroll.
If it says Everyset Payroll, use the Employer of Record information in the bottom-right corner of your voucher.
If another payroll company is listed, refer to the payroll information and documents provided by that company.
